1	Miami	Andrew Luck	QB	Stanford
Unanimous #1 selection. If a team that does not need a quarterback earns this selection, it will be traded to one that does.
2	Indianapolis	Justin Blackmon	WR	Oklahoma State
With Luck gone, the need to replace an aging Reggie Wayne is paramount.
3	Seattle	Matt Barkley	QB	USC
Pete Carroll recruited Barkley, the Seahawks need a quarterback, and Andrew Luck will have been drafted. No brainer.
4	St. Louis	Matt Kalil	OT	USC
The Rams need to protect their quarterback. Kalil is a solid upgrade.
5	Arizona	Travis Lewis	OLB	Oklahoma
Lewis is a tackling machine, and Arizona can certainly use more stops against the run.
6	Denver	Alshon Jeffery	WR	South Carolina
Big, physical wide receiver, which Denver has lacked since the departure of Brandon Marshall.
7	Cleveland	Matt Reynolds	OT	Brigham Young
Cleveland has recently realized that the key to winning is up front. Reynolds adds another potential Pro Bowler to the Joe Thomas-led front five.
8	Jacksonville	Jared Crick	DT	Nebraska
Crick can put pressure on the pocket, and fill a running lane as well as anyone in the draft.
9	Minnesota	Ryan Broyles	WR	Oklahoma
Since the release of Bernard Berrian, the Vikings need to give Ponder more quality targets.
10	Carolina	Kenny Tate	FS	Maryland
This past off-season it would have seemed that a wide receiver would be the selection here. With Cam Newton showing no receiver preference, the focus has changed. First hole to fill, defensive backfield.
11	Washington	Landry Jones	QB	Oklahoma
High-performing quarterback from a big-time program. This combination usually seems to work out. Beck and Grossman have proven not to be the answer.
12	Kansas City	Nate Potter	OT	Boise State
Matt Cassel seems to be the quarterback answer (for now), but not without protection. Potter is well-trained in protecting his stars.
13	Tennessee	Quinton Coples	DE	North Carolina
The Titans have had a solid year protecting the quarterback. Not so much on getting to the opposing ones. Coples is a great pass-rusher that can move horizontally to slow down outside runs.
14	Tampa Bay	Cliff Harris	CB	Oregon
Ronde Barber is reaching his final years in the league. He must be replaced sooner rather than later. Harris is a gifted athlete with similar vision and awareness to that of Barber.
15	Cincinnati	Mark Barron	SS	Alabama
Barron can cover receivers and play tight against the run, both needed in this defense.
16	Cincinnati (from OAK)	Trent Richardson	RB	Alabama
Time to address an aging, and suspension-ridden, Cedric Benson. Richardson is an every-down back.
17	Chicago	Michael Floyd	WR	Notre Dame
The Bears are in desperate need of a quality wideout, considering Matt Forter is their top receiving threat.
18	Dallas	Don’ta Hightower	ILB	Alabama
The long fall for Hightower is the gem for Dallas. The Cowboys lack a presence in the core of their defense.
19	Buffalo	Marcus Forston	DT	Miami (FL)
The Bills’ pass rush has been abysmal and they must get more pressure on the quarterback.
20	NY Giants	LaMichael James	RB	Oregon
Not a big year for running backs, but James is a great pick at this point in the draft. The Giants rank nearly last in rushing yards.
21	Cleveland (from ATL)	Jeff Fuller	WR	Texas A&M
The Browns need more passing threats for McCoy to be able to fully function in the pocket.
22	NY Jets	Nigel Bradham	OLB	Florida State
Rex Ryan loves star defenders and Bradham has that potential.
23	Detroit	Michael Brewster	C	Ohio State
With an aging Raiola, Detroit could use the youthful and exuberant Brewster.
24	Houston	Jonathan Martin	OT	Stanford
Skill positions are set offensively, so the front five could use addressing.
25	San Francisco	Jeff Fuller	WR	Texas A&M
A true threat opposite Michael Crabtree will open the field more for either Smith or Kaepernick.
26	San Diego	Ray Graham	RB	Pittsburgh
Let’s face it, Ryan Matthews has proven he has trouble staying healthy. Graham offers a fix to this problem.
27	Philadelphia	Zach Brown	OLB	North Carolina
To compete in an increasingly offensive division, the Cowboys will draft a versatile and athletic Brown.
28	Baltimore	Manti Te’o	ILB	Notre Dame
The Ravens don’t want to admit this, but sooner or later they must replace Ray Lewis. This is the year.
29	New England (from NO)	Jerel Worthy	DT	Michigan State
Wilfork and Haynesworth serve a purpose, it’s just too bad it’s the same one. Expect one to be released before next season.
30	Pittsburgh	Vontaze Burfict	ILB	Arizona State
Possibly the most physically talented LB in the draft, Burfict will replace the aging James Farrior.
31	New England	Chris Owusu	WR	Stanford
An aging wide receiver corps calls for Belichick to draft accordingly.
32	Green Bay	Sean Cattouse	SS	California
Not many weaknesses on the Packers’ squad, but the safeties could use an upgrade. Cattouse’s size and speed would compliment the cornerbacks nicely.

33	Miami	Stephon Gilmore	CB	South Carolina
Glaring weakness on the defensive side of the ball is the inability to stop opposing passing attacks.
34	Indianapolis	Nick Foles	QB	Arizona
The Colts address Peyton Manning’s successor with an accurate game-manager in Foles.
35	Seattle	Luke Kuechly	ILB	Boston College
After releasing their top pick from 2009 (Aaron Curry), the Seahawks try again with BC’s Kuechly.
36	St. Louis	Juron Criner	WR	Arizona
Physical wide receiver provides solid target for Sam Bradford
37	Philadelphia (from ARI)	T.J. McDonald	FS	USC
Solidifying the defensive backfield with the versatile Trojan.
38	Denver	Janoris Jenkins	CB	None
John Fox takes a chance on a talented cornerback with behavioral issues.
39	Cleveland	Ray Ray Armstrong	SS	Miami (FL)
Adding run-stopping strength to a defensive backfield that has been successful against the pass.
40	Jacksonville	Brandon Jenkins	DE/OLB	Florida State
Addressing two defensive positions in one, Jenkins can be moved to several spots and be effective.
41	Minnesota	Mike Adams	OT	Ohio State
Time to replace Steve Hutchinson, who is in his 11th year. Adams can learn from one of the best.
42	Carolina	Mike Adams	OT	Ohio State
The more protection the Panthers can provide for Newton, the more success their offense will see.
43	Washington	Devin Taylor	DE	South Carolina
Now that Brian Orakpo has moved solely to the outside, and the Redskins use their defensive ends as defensive tackles, Taylor is a great fit.
44	Kansas City	Courtney Upshaw	ILB	Alabama
Solid inside linebacker with a huge upside. The Chiefs need a greater deterrent on the inside.
45	Tennessee	Ryan Miller	G/OT	Colorado
More protection for what is assumed to be a second year quarterback in Jake Locker
46	Tampa Bay	Janzen Jackson	FS	Tennessee
With offensive skill positions in good order, the Bucs address the defensive backfield.
47	Cincinnati	Riley Reiff	OT	Iowa
Young quarterbacks and running backs thrive behind a solid offensive line. Reiff brings consistency to the Bengals.
48	New England (From Oak)	Chris Owusu	WR	Stanford
The offensive woes in St. Louis can be attributed partly to the lack of a solid number one receiver.
49	Chicago	Tydreke Powell	DT	North Carolina
A major force in the middle to help secure the Bears’ run-stopping ability.
50	Dallas	Lance Mitchell	FS	Oregon State
Janzen Jackson is nabbed just prior and forces the Cowboys to their second FS option.
51	Buffalo	Kirk Cousins	QB	Michigan State
Gives the Bills options if Fitzpatrick falls from grace.
52	NY Giants	Kheeston Randall	DT	Texas
Improves a questionable defensive front four.
53	Atlanta	Chris Galippo	ILB	USC
Strong ILB to give the Falcons extra resistance to the NFC South’s rushing attack.
54	NY Jets	Knile Davis	RB	Arkansas
Tomlinson will be retiring, Davis is will be a solid backup to Shonn Green, and possibly battle for starting rights.
55	Detroit	Keith Tandy	CB	West Virginia
Pass-heavy NFC North will need some better defending. Tandy can offer assistance.
56	Houston	Alfonzo Dennard	CB	Nebraska
Houston sees a trend of cornerbacks leaving the pool and take Dennard early.
57	San Francisco	Greg Reid	CB	Florida State
The run on corners continues.
58	San Diego	Michael Egnew	TE	Missouri
Can’t expect too many more years out of Antonio Gates. Now is the time to build the future at TE.
59	Philadelphia	Lavonte David	ILB	Nebraska
Stocking up the middle of the defense for situational four-linebacker sets.
60	Baltimore	Kelechi Osemele	G	Iowa State
Improving the one position on the line that could really use it.
61	New Orleans	Donte Paige-Moss	DE/OLB	North Carolina
Provides the Saints with options in the defensive core. Good pass rush and solid run stopper.
62	Pittsburgh	Cyrus Gray	RB	Texas A&M
Rashard Mendenhall is just fine, but the back-ups could use an upgrade.
63	New England	Brandon Boykin	CB	Georgia
Big time player from a big time conference. Ready to fill in quickly.
64	Green Bay	Dan Herron	RB	Ohio State
Must find a way to deal with the injury-ridden Ryan Grant.
