1 Phoenix Mercury 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Phoenix Brittney Griner C Baylor
Brittney  Griner had arguably the greatest impact on the sport in her career. Her ability to make shots from just about anywhere will be a huge asset for the Phoenix right off the bat. The Mercury are in much need of a jolt to get back to the playoffs and Griner should go a long way toward pushing them back to that goal.
2 Chicago Sky 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Chicago Skylar Diggins PG Notre Dame
Skylar Diggins is an excellent athlete, playmaker, and leader and with Chicago drafting in this slot,  it should be a great fit for the South Bend, Indiana native. Diggins has the total package of shooting, distribution, and defending  and should make an immediate impact for the Sky.   
3 Tulsa Shock 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Tulsa Markel Walker SF UCLA
The Shock get some much needed physicality and scoring down in the post with Walker. This, combined with her ability to pass the basketball to set up open jump shooters, should make the Shock more dynamic offensively in 2013.
4 Washington Mystics 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Washington Elena Delle Donne SF Delaware
Della Donne could go higher but for the Delaware native, playing in Washington DC near her family in Delaware should be a great a fit. She is arguably the most dynamic offensive player in this draft.
5 New York Liberty 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles New York Angel Goodrich PG Kansas
Goodrich was a Lieberman Award finalist in 2013. She is a dynamic playmaker that has all of the tools of a top flight point guard to last in the WNBA for a long time to come.
6 Seattle Storm 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Seattle Tianna Hawkins PF Maryland
With Lauren Jackson not playing this season, look for the Storm to go with Hawkins and her tough minded rebounding presence down in the low post to help begin the transition  for when  Jackson decides to permanently stop playing.
7 Washington Mystics 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Washington (from ATL) Sugar Rodgers SG Georgetown
Rodgers is the total scoring and rebounding package that the Mystics will need if they are to return as a regular playoff contender. Rogers also plays tough defense averaging over three steals per game in 2012-2013. 
8 San Antonio Silver Stars 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles San Antonio Carolyn Davis PF Kansas
Davis was very consistent at Kansas and she will provide a strong balance of efficient shooting and toughness of the boards for the Silverstars.
9 Indiana Fever 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Indiana Kayla Alexander C Syracuse
Alexander is a tough shot blocking force who should help the Fever in 2013. She should be able to compete right away for playing time and help the Fever become a championship contender in 2013.

Moore is a model point guard.  She distributes the basketball very well and shot over 80 percent from the foul line over the past two years.  She should fit in right away with the Sparks.

Bentley should be able to able to contribute off the bench for the Sun and provide instant offense and toughness by creating turnovers on the defensive end of the floor.

Williams comes from a championship pedigree with Baylor and was the 6th Man of the Year in the Big 12 Conference. Williams should be able to be a top bench player for the Lynx and will be key in providing an offensive spark down low, along with crashing the boards.

Poppens will provide a nice mix of offensive spark and dominance on the glass.  She almost averaged a double-double for Iowa State in 2012-2013. 
14 Minnesota Lynx 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Minnesota (from PHX) A’dia Mathies PG Kentucky
Mathies took full advantage of playing in Kentucky’s up-tempo system scoring over 1,900 points. She has a great opportunity to fight for a spot with the Lynx. A great potential value pick early in Round 2.
15 Tulsa Shock 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Tulsa Monique Oliver C Rutgers
Oliver is more of a defensive specialist and is one of the best shot blockers in Rutgers history.  She brings a great deal of potential to the Shock at this point in the second round.

Chambers has kind of flown under the radar nationally but she was one of the more prolific guards in the history of the Big 12.  Chambers was first player in Big 12 women’s history ever to record 750 points, pull down 250 rebounds and dish out 100 assists. Her ability to make plays and lead a team will be huge assets for her in battling in the WNBA. 
17 New York Liberty 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles New York Karisma Penn PF Illinois
Penn is a very solid all-around performer who averaged nearly a double-double in the always tough Big Ten Conference. Penn is a strong, athletic force defensively with over three steals per game in 2012-13.
18 Seattle Storm 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Seattle Kelly Faris PG Connecticut
Faris brings that all-around offensive, defensive and championship pedigree that will make her a great fit in Seattle following Sue Bird. Faris is not as dynamic as Bird offensively, but her overall game makes for a great potential fit in Seattle.
19 Atlanta Dream 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Atlanta Kevi Luper SG Oral Roberts
In spite of a tough season for Oral Roberts, Luper still averaged 19 points a game in 2012-13 and brings a dynamic offensive presence that is very difficult to deal with. Luper is a sleeper who could surprise if she gets in the right spot such as Atlanta.

Smith is primarily an offensive threat that is tenacious on the boards.  Smith was the anchor scoring-wise for St. John’s the past three seasons and will bring toughness on the boards out of the backcourt.

White should  project as a two guard in the WNBA as she turned the ball over a little too much at Arizona. Playing with a strong team such as the Fever should help address that problem.

Prins was a co-captain in 2012-13 and is a very balanced player who can also step out and make a shot from behind the arc. Prins definitely has the height and is battled tested after dealing with Brittany Griner, so the WNBA should not intimidate her.
24 Minnesota Lynx 2012 WNBA Mock Draft Women's College Basketball Player Profiles Minnesota Tayler Hill SG Ohio State
Hill is a defensive stopper who should make her presence felt on that end of the court right away in the WNBA. She would be great pick for backcourt depth at this point in the second round.
